My sister and I have a new hobby–sewing. I wouldn’t have though I would enjoy it, but I have found that it is very relaxing and rewarding. Thanks to my cousin, Melanie, who traveled from Seattle to Texas this last summer to teach us how to quilt, we have begun our journey into the fabric world.

Our first project was a quilt (see picture). We spent an entire weekend cutting and piecing it together. Since then, I have completed two child-size quilts. Soon, I will begin a cowboy quilt for my nephew, Landon. It will go under the Christmas tree this year. If you have read previous blogs, you know he loves the Lone Ranger.
